How Important Are Your Photos When Selling Your Home?
Extremely important. According to an article on the National Association of Realtors (NAR) web site, 81% of home buyers begin their search using the internet. With that statistic being as high as it is, it stands to reason that the photos that depict a home that looks in great shape and looks appealing will be those that drive an increase the amount of foot traffic your home receives.
Case in point, here’s a home my company, Georgia Interior Solutions (homestagingatlanta.com) professionally staged.

Prior to being staged, the home was showing vacant as the owners had already purchased another home and moved on. Unfortunately, pictures of a vacant home leave little for the buyer to connect to on an emotional level. As you’ll see in this testimonial this home, using the vacant home pictures, only drew 1 prospective buyer in a 5 month period. In addition, the homeowners were of the belief that when left vacant it would actually appear bigger to the buyers. Just the opposite is true. When staged properly, the furniture and accessories not only define the space but makes the room appear visually larger.
The fortunate news for this homeowner is that after it was staged and the new photos changed out, they had the house under contract in less than a month.
