Model Home Staging
Builders have known for years just how successful having a model home can be. And while the trend was to use interior design firms to furnish and accessorize their homes, they’ve opted for a far cheaper alternative called “home staging.” How do I know? I’ve had the good fortune of staging many of them throughout Atlanta.
The reason why home staging is so effective is that the same objective is applied yet at a fraction of the price. In the past, builders budgeted and spent several thousands of dollars. It was not unheard of to have a budget of $35K to $75K to showcase their home. With no other alternative available they ended up, in most cases, owning the furniture and accessories only having to deal with these items when the community was sold.
The “home staging” process allows for builders to actually lease the furniture and accessories to be used in the model home. This cost effective solution has been used by many builders throughout the Atlanta area.
